A small group of dedicated Galilee women, located in Kibbutz Beit Haemek have been creating art together for fifteen years. They can now look with pride and satisfaction on their achievements, embodied in the Galilee Silks workshop. The heart of their operation has always been raw silk which they dye using a variety of techniques. This was the starting-point for a growing range of silk and part-silk creations, and the inspiration for diversifying into other materials with similar qualities: soft, delicate and transparent.
Their workshop is in effect a studio, focused on creating new and unique products, led by a dynamic team of Israeli women who are powered by an innovative urge in design, techniques and management.
